Tabriz has manufactured the world’s largest hand knotted rug. It took seven years for 230 rug weavers to create the huge rug. It was put on the Guinness World Records during an international rug exhibition in Azerbaijan.

According to the media, 70 different dyes were used for the 6,450 square-feet rug, which weighs 6,600 lbs. The rug will be on display at the fair in Tabriz, northwestern of Persia.

Persian rugs are sought after internationally for their delicate designs and good quality.
